Music Live
If you live for music, you need Music Live...
Music Live is 10 years old. For a decade it's been the UK's favourite music-making event, inspiring and educating musicians in their tens of thousands.
Every year the crowds throng to see a fantastic showing of the latest and greatest guitars, drums, synths, amplifiers, recording gear and software from the world's best-known brands. And the involvement of retail partners means Music Live is the perfect place for visitors to expand their equipment arsenal at special show-only deals.
Avid are exhibiting in conjunction with Music Live retail partners Absolute Music. We’ll be showcasing Eleven Rack, our revolutionary guitar effects and recording system, along with other Pro Tools recording systems and M-Audio music creation hardware, such as the Axiom Pro and Oxygen keyboards, ProFire and Fast Track interfaces, not to mention our range of award-wining studio monitors. Who knows, there may even be some new product on the stand this time around ;)
Elsewhere at the show Music Tech magazine are running three days of seminars under the Sounds Expo section of the show – we'll be running free 'Recording With Pro Tools and Eleven Rack' sessions on Friday and Saturday. There are also seminars from Logic, Cubase, Propellerhead Reason and Sonar.
There's also an awful lot of playing and career advice to be gained from a Music Live visit. Drum clinics with players like Darrin Mooney (Primal Scream) and Jason Bowld (Pitchshifter), career seminars with industry pros and music production masterclasses are all part of the Music Live mix. Music Live also plays host to some of the biggest names in the music industry each year.
Currently riding high, Irish rockers The Answer graced the Live Stage in 2006 before their profile went stratospheric; we've had Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith appearing with comedian Al Murray; Status Quo riffmeister Rick Parfitt visiting for 'An Audience With...' in 2007; both Joe Bonamassa and Stone Gods playing the Live Stage in 2008... There’s a whole lot more on the Music Live website here…
