My NRV10 no longer powers on
Text size [-] [+]

Q: My M-Audio NRV10 used to work, but now it won’t even turn on.  What should I do?

A: Some NRV10 FireWire mixers may be affected by an issue which results in the device failing to power on.  If you own an M-Audio NRV10 that no longer powers on, please see the video linked below for instructions on opening your NRV10 to determine if the problem you are experiencing is related to this known issue:

If there are no visible problems with the capacitors on the power board, your device is not affected by this issue and does not need to be returned for repair.  If your device is still not powering on, there may be a problem with the external power supply; or a different, unrelated problem internally.  Contact tech support for your region for further assistance troubleshooting your issue.

If the capacitors on the Power Supply Board on your NRV10 have failed, the limited warranty has been extended to 3 years to cover the NRV10’s Power Supply Board only*.  A Return Authorization must be obtained before sending the device in for repair.  Please see the following return/repair options below.

  • Send only the Power Supply Board to Avid/M-Audio for repair (US) or to one of our Avid Repair Centers (outside of the US).  Please see the video linked above for instructions on removing the Power Supply Board.  Please contact tech support for your region to obtain a Return Authorization number.
  • Return the NRV10 to Avid/M-Audio for repair (US) or to one of our Authorized Repair Centers (outside of the US).  Please contact tech support for your region to obtain a Return Authorization number.
  • For users comfortable with soldering and electronics repair, please contact tech support for your region to obtain a repair kit with the necessary parts and repair instructions.

* All other warranty on the NRV10 is 1 year unless other regions dictate differently. This limited warranty extension on the NRV10’s Power Supply Board is for original owners of the NRV 10 only. Limited warranty is non transferable and is for original purchases only.
